About
The Annual Windsor Essex Open Studio Tour is a three-day event that provides a unique opportunity to explore the behind-the-scenes world of local artists in their studios and workspaces.
The Open Studio Tour is free for visitors and takes place alongside the Ontario Culture Days events each autumn. In 2019, the event attracted over 600 visitors to 12 locations, showcasing the work of more than 30 artists. After the Covid pandemic, the studio tour returned in 2022, featuring six studio locations in Windsor and two in Kingsville, highlighting the creations of over 20 local artists.
In 2023, during the Tour weekend, local artists will open their studios, engaging the public and inviting them to observe various artistic processes. The Tour serves as a valuable marketing opportunity for artists working in diverse mediums and fosters an encouraging environment to showcase local talent.
By embarking on our self-guided tours, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the artistic processes involved in creating art and experience the rich diversity of local artists in Windsor Essex.
