About
Canadian Parliament proclaimed October as Islamic Heritage Month in 2007. We would be celebrating Islamic Heritage and Culture Days at Barrie Public Library by offering the following,
Interactive fun games and activities: scientific exhibits, Pin Hole Camera, find your blind spot, See through a Hole in your Hand, Coin Magic, Reverse Arrow Experiment, scavenger hunt, Islamic art tiles, colour creations and live calligraphy honouring educators for teachers day.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women Association Barrie is committed to promoting peace and understanding through community awareness, education, and social services. We engage in various activities such as:
• Community Awareness and Education: Hosting educational booths in schools and libraries, and organizing cultural displays to highlight Muslim heritage.
• Social Services: Participating in food drives, winter drives, and supporting local shelters and charities like Season Centre, Elizabeth Fry Society, and Youth Haven.
• Community Engagement: Hosting Iftar dinners and community gatherings to foster relationships and mutual understanding.
• Environmental Initiatives: Participating in Adopt-a-Highway clean-up projects.
Our vision is to create an inclusive community based on mutual respect and understanding, embodying the values of compassion, service, and unity.
