FASM Studio Tour 2024: Studio 1

Featured Artists: Barb Tate, Anne-Ellice Pascoe, Monica Burnside, Barbara Chapman, Kathleen Bignell, Mike Balcain

Join us on the weekend of September 28th and 29th for the FASM Studio Tour, where art lovers can meet and explore the work of talented local artists. Discover a variety of artistic styles and mediums at different studio locations across Milton. Here’s a sneak peek of some of the artists you can visit:

Barb Tate – A passionate plein-air oil painter, Barb captures the beauty of nature in floral and landscape paintings. With years of experience, she draws inspiration from hiking and local conservation areas.

Anne-Ellice Pascoe – A glass artist with a flair for vibrant colors and textures, Anne-Ellice has been crafting her unique glass pieces for 6 years, balancing her creative pursuits alongside a career in accounting.

Monica Burnside – Monica is an award-winning oil painter who enjoys creating colorful, impressionistic landscapes, sunsets, and portraits. Her work reflects her passion for painting both outdoors and in the studio.

Barbara Chapman – A contemporary impressionist, Barbara’s soft palette and expressive brushstrokes capture the essence of landscapes, florals, and still-life. She enjoys teaching and sharing her expertise with fellow artists.

Kathleen Bignell – A former teacher turned full-time artist, Kathleen is inspired by nature and her travels. She creates both at home and at Norval Studios, drawing from her fine arts education and a love for the outdoors.

Mike Balcain – Embracing his artistic side after retirement, Mike paints in both watercolors and oils. Inspired by the Group of Seven and the Impressionists, his work reflects his evolving style and love for Canadian landscapes.

Visit these artists at their studios during the FASM Studio Tour on September 28th and 29th!
