Chairspirations: Jon Colwell
Jon Colwell explains the inspiration behind the Muskoka chair he painted as part of Art You Can Sit On, an interactive public art installation. View, sit, and selfie with art that you can literally sit on! See the chairs in person at Culture Days in Scugog on Saturday, Septemeber 26th. Art You Can Sit On: 10 Muskoka chairs have been beautifully painted by local artists and are now on display at Scugog Arts. The chairs were generously donated by the Mississauguas of Scugog Island First Nation.
This event is free and will be accepting optional pay-what-you-may donations for admission.
Established in 2005, the Scugog Arts is a not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors and is dedicated to providing a strong voice for arts and culture in Scugog Township and to promoting and growing the arts in all areas of the community. SA members include individuals, businesses and organizations that participate in or support a vibrant local cultural scene, which includes theatre, music, dance, visual and graphic art, craft, literary arts, and arts education.
