The Discovery Nature Sanctuary is a hidden refuge within the City of Winkler in south-central Manitoba. It provides a haven for wildlife within an urban environment and gives people a wonderful opportunity to view and experience nature first hand. The easy walking trails allow visitors to access 34 acres of natural grassland and woodland habitat, including 7 acres of wetlands.

A sanctuary committee oversees the development and maintenance of the site in cooperation with the City of Winkler. The sanctuary is open year round, from dawn to dusk, to the public, schools and other groups.

The sanctuary is funded through the City of Winkler as well as private and corporate donations.
