About
Join Artist-in-Residence Jill Price for a walk through the trees adjacent to the Library to gather leaves for tracing, painting, and printing. Participants will begin to trace and paint leaves using natural dyes from different plant and tree species as well as learn how to prep the leaves for transferring their images onto secondhand papers. Those on the walk will also be invited to record the sounds of their walk through the trees so that excerpts may be included in the final sound piece accompanying the installation.
This workshop is the first in a series hosted by BWG Public Library's new Artist in Residence, Jill Price. Through a series of four workshops, Price will work with BWG community members to co-create elements of We Are Forest, an interactive installation that explores human interconnections with trees.
