About
Join the Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library as we help the Manitoba Weavers and Fibre Artists (MWFA) to celebrate their 75th Anniversary.
Through the end of October, MCML will be hosting a small exhibit in the Gladys Chown Memorial Library of work by some of their members.
The MWFA was formed in 1947 as a local branch of the newly-formed national Guild of Canadian Weavers. Throughout the past 75 years the MWFA has fostered teaching, mentorship, sharing of ideas and projects, and making local connections and the promotion of weaving in Manitoba. The MWFA currently offers meetings, workshops, rental equipment and a physical and electronic library.
MWFA members include absolute beginners to those who have spent a lifetime mastering the craft.
On exhibit through October 29, 2022
