Join artist Nazanin Shafiee for a free ribbon embroidery and needlework demonstration, celebrating cultural heritage, creativity, and the art of slow stitching.
This drop-in session welcomes participants aged 16 and up, at all skill levels, to observe the beauty of embroidery through vibrant threads, delicate ribbons, and rich textile textures. Nazanin will demonstrate basic ribbon embroidery techniques for creating floral patterns and decorative designs on fabric, showing how color, texture, and personal expression come together in this timeless art form.
Whether you're new to stitching or an experienced hand, this is a chance to relax, connect, and take part in a creative journey rooted in tradition.

Nazanin Shafiee is an Iranian artist with over 15 years of experience in ribbon embroidery and textile art. She is the author of a Persian-language book on ribbon embroidery techniques and is known for blending classic and modern methods to create unique patterns. Nazanin teaches her techniques in a clear, approachable way—making them accessible even to complete beginners.
