About

Gallery Vertigo, in partnership with artist Michelle Loughery and the Wayfinder Sunflower Project, invite the public to participate in an innovative public engagement art installation at Gallery Vertigo scheduled for Sept. 6 – Oct. 30, 2022.

The installation will display recycled fabric skirts and feminine clothing that, through the addition of stitched embellishment and various other media, represent the story of immigrants in the past and future of Canada.

The public is invited to create an individual paper art flower at the gallery and share ancestral stories by leaving the flower behind as part of the unique exhibition. Supplies will be available at Gallery Vertigo.

The embellishments created will be added to the installation throughout its two month display .

The Sunflower Skirts Stories will be shared on the Wayfinder Network Podcast AR:T ROUTE RADIO
