About
Doors Open returns to Halton Hills!
The Georgetown Armoury is just one of many locations available to explore during Doors Open Halton. Built in 1866, The Old Armoury was Canada‘s last functioning drill hall from that era. This post-and-beam structure was moved here in 1890 and served as a drill hall until 1997. Saved from demolition in 2008 by a local community theatre company — the Georgetown Globe Productions — it has been completely renovated, with much of its original structure and character preserved.
