About
“ A metaphysical passage of a deer through a cafe in Shibuya” takes its name from a series of videos by Thor Aitkenhead that combine trailcam footage with travelogue and abstract elements. The exhibition builds on these videos and others by Brian Longfield and Thor Aikenhead including both collaborative and individual works as well as paintings and a sound installation to explore the themes of surveillance, the ubiquity of the camera eye, documentary and history, wildlife and ghosts.
