This is a pop-up painting exhibition. Ming will discuss her creative process, inspirations, and the themes behind her work. She will also share her thoughts about the importance of connecting people both internationally and locally through her paintings. Her paintings have been creating a platform for discussion centred around conservation and raising awareness on endangered wildlife.

Her works are captivating, composed, and lively. In her paintings, one can see the animals’ emotions and actions expressed through her versatile brushstrokes. While another notices the beauty and vividness of plants brought to life. Her birds are poised and striking. Critters jump to life and are full of energy.

Freestyle is focused on simplicity, speed control, and versatility of brush strokes. Whether it is harmony, bonding, or movement, Ming’s art covers an expansive area of the natural world — the animal kingdom and botanicals. Her works showcase her ability to frame nature in a beautiful, minimalistic way.

Ming Yeung

Ming is a Chinese freestyle painter based in Canada. As an accomplished art creator, Ming has been championing her style of art – Art of Freestyle Chinese Painting since 2000 after immigrating to Canada.

After achieving an 'Artistic Innovation' award in 2019, Ming has continued her ongoing project 'Art for the World's Endangered Species' through exhibitions and teaching. She has been promoting her style of Chinese painting through exhibitions, teaching classes, artist demonstrations, and interviews in the Lower Mainland since 2002. She is an exceptional artistic person with a very deep commitment to her Chinese Freestyle painting and her unwavering commitment to the world's endangered wildlife species.

The healing power of the arts might become an essential ingredient in our daily life recipe, for all forms of people. Ming would love to share some of her arts with our communities.
