About
See Mekayla Dionne's traffic signal box wrap "Sunday Sweet" on display at Florence Dr and Kerr Street in Oakville.
Mekayla offers the following description of her work:
‘Sunday Sweet’ is an abstract representation of a warm sunset reflecting on rippling water and bright flowers in garden. Inspired by the colourful roses in Gairloch Gardens, as well calming waves Lake Ontario, this piece seeks to embody effect that existing nature can bring. As an artist, I am inspired by all tiny details, such texture of moss, rocks, or way sunlight filters through tree leaves. Walking and spending time along the shore of Lake Ontario has provided much inspiration for my artwork over years, particularly the way spectacular sunrises and sunsets light up horizon.
