About

During ON Culture Days, Atelier Woodcroft will lead a series of design charrettes and workshops in collaboration with teacher Peter Gumulak at the Paris District High School and his students in Construction Tech and Woodworking. Students will carry out concept ideation and site selection, iterate through formal studies and detailed fabrication design. These activities will lead to the creation of a unique, site-specific public art sculpture, showcasing the students’ skills and creativity.

Organizer

Atelier Woodcroft

Atelier Woodcroft is a collectively owned workshop committed to making objects and spaces that reconnect people to one another in a world that too often fragments us. Our practice draws on experience in fine woodworking, architectural fabrication, furniture, and environmental design, but the real work is refusing the idea that craft must be subordinated to speed, spectacle, or extractive efficiency. We source materials and share knowledge regionally because community is not a slogan for us—it’s the material condition that makes meaningful work possible.
