The Old Durham Road Black Pioneer Cemetery Committee is a group that care for this sacred ground. Our purpose is to protect and remember the Black pioneer families that lived on the ODR. Each September, a Cemetery Decoration (memorial) service is held on the site. the 2023 event will occur two weeks prior to the Culture Days Self-directed tour on September 17th at 2:00 PM.
