Come learn more about the role of bhangra in the South Asian community in this fun and interactive cultural session. You will learn some basic bhangra steps to get you moving and dancing!
Bhangra dance is an important cultural component for many South Asians. In Punjab, bhangra is performed to celebrate festivals and holidays, such as Vaisakshi, as well as important occasions like weddings. It is a traditional folk dance of Punjab, and best performed to the beat of a dhol (drum) or to upbeat music.
