Youth Art Virtual Showcase
Youth & teens
It's been a tough 18 months and everyone needs hope and a reason to smile. Information Orillia for the remainder of 2021 will be focusing on our Youth. We not only want to be a place of safety and support; but are looking to showcase artwork created by our young people depicting 'What Community Means to Me'. We are partnering with the Orillia & District Arts Council through Culture Days (September 24 - October 24) in hopes of showcasing our young, community artists to be followed by an Art Show and Sale in November. Stay Tuned for more information. COVID has made clear that the ODAC mandate, which is to educate and support vulnerable communities (youth, seniors, women at-risk, mental health) through art, remains applicable. The pandemic has intensified the feeling of isolation that is felt. More than ever there is a need for safe self-expression through art as a holistic means of well-being. This virtual event will adhere to Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit protocols in effect.
This event is free.
