Dalnavert Museum
Built in 1895 on Treaty 1 land, The Dalnavert Museum is a small Victorian Mansion nestled in the heart of Winnipeg’s Downtown. This unique museum features a “day in the life” feel as it transports you back in time to the 19th century the second you step inside.
As a museum, we seek to use the house as a tool to educate about the time period and to give space to all the perspectives and stories that the time period houses. We are committed to truth in historical interpretation and are committed to our role in reconciliation with the Indigenous people in Canada. Dalnavert houses antiques, not antiquated beliefs!
