About
Sacred Circle Dance is a meditative offshoot of European folk dance. The Victoria Dancing Circle dances with the deliberate intention of bringing people together to share positive energy by moving together as a group.
Dances, like life, can be lively, thoughtful, sorrowful—and changeable. We can experience and enjoy the variety of feelings life brings, and support one another as we hold hands, dancing in a circle. The Victoria Dancing Circle is not a performing group; we hope that you will try out our simple dances by joining in our circle!

Saanich Parks and Recreation and Island Illustrators Society with Victoria Circle Dancers
The Victoria Dancing Circle is a community of dancers inspired by music and cultures from around the world. We dance in a circle, holding hands, to simple choreographies that are ancient and modern. All dances are taught and beginners are always welcome; no partners are required. For further information about circle dancing, visit circledancebc.ca
Working in partnership with the community, Saanich Parks and Recreation creates opportunities for enrichment that support health and well-being through arts and culture and other activities. In Saanich, Community Services and The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill have teamed up to help support Culture Days. The Island Illustrators Society has collaborated this year to host an exhibition and community art project at the Arts Centre. Island Illustrators fosters interest in the art of illustration.
