About
Have you ever wondered about what it takes to do stand-up comedy? Find out by watching the short documentary "The Comedy Doula", showing how Jan Bannister takes students through the process of learning stand-up. Afterwards, we will challenge you to try it! Anyone can be empowered to be vulnerable and laughter can be the best medicine.
Come to Studio C @ Cowork Chilliwack, to watch this documentary: you will laugh and feel empowered as you see the students deal with their own vulnerabilities. The documentary has strong language, deals with topics like suicide, homosexuality, racism, and death. After the film, challenge yourself to create your own bit of stand-up comedy with the help of one of Jan's students. Stand-up comedy can feel very revealing and scary but we will endeavour to create a most supportive environment.
