About
Kathy Browning & Nick Dubecki
The Killarney landscape is magical. The pink, blue, and white colours in the granite and quartzite rock that have been carved into rounded shapes offset against windblown trees, and intense blue water has inspired us to take photographs for 45 years. Nick and I initially began canoeing and hiking in the backcountry while photographing the magic of Killarney and we’ve repeatedly returned to hike the numerous trails in the park and coast. We’ve canoed many lakes within the park and waters from the Chikanishing Creek launch paddling east, west, or south to Philip Edward and Fox Islands while photographing. George Island across from Killarney or from the Lighthouse are also a spiritually uplifting day well spent either hiking or canoeing. The magic of Killarney with its calm and rugged beauty: Waters and winds that can change quickly are all a part of the challenging appeal of this remote nature bathing experience. We share a photographic understanding Killarney and are now sharing our photographs with you. Enjoy!
