About

Join Richmond-based muralist Laura Kwok in painting a mini-mobile mural to launch the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex community mural project. Through a hands-on drop-in drawing and painting workshop with community members, Laura and participants will explore the question:

Do you have a memento or souvenir that reminds you of home?

This event is part of a series of artist-led community engagement sessions. The contributions from participants will be used by the artist to inform the design of a new mural to be painted on the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex.

Drop-in event for all ages. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

Laura Kwok is a Richmond-based illustrator and muralist. She is captivated by the beauty of nature and her artwork is inspired by the grandeur of the natural world. Her recent work focuses on capturing the fluid and ethereal life cycles of flowers and creating a personal language of floral symbolism as a means of self-expression. Laura is curious about how art plays a therapeutic role in healing humans, creating connections, and strengthening communities.
