About

We will be having a special speaker, Shirley Wolfe Keller who will be giving us some knowledge about First Nations cultural foods and speaking on Truth and Reconciliation. We will have literature available on Truth and Reconciliation. We will also be having volunteers from different cultures to make tasting platters of foods from their culture. There will be books and/or DVD's in different languages to show that people can get library items in their own preferred language. We are hoping to bring the cultures together and hopefully create new friendships and knowledge of what the library has to offer.

It is a free event which will be advertised in the local area.

Organizer

Invermay Branch Parkland Library

The Invermay Library's goal is to become a hub for the community. We would love to bring everyone together; Young and Old, Rich and Poor, from all Cultures, of all abilities, in a place where everything is free and nobody is left out.

We want this to be a place to go where people feel safe and cared about and where they can read, visit, use the computer, do a craft, play with some toys, and/or borrow numerous types of materials with their library cards which are also free.
