About

Join artist Laura Kwok for a FREE drop-in casual art party and create a self-portrait collage inspired by floral images and natural elements. Laura will share her thoughts on colour and composition, and guide you through making your own mixed-media self portrait collage masterpiece.

This session is part of a series of artist-led community engagement workshops. The contributions from participants will inform the design of a new mural to be painted on the Richmond Cultural Centre Annex.

Laura Kwok is a Richmond-based illustrator and muralist. She is captivated by the beauty of nature and her artwork is inspired by the grandeur of the natural world. Her recent work focuses on capturing the fluid and ethereal life cycles of flowers and creating a personal language of floral symbolism as a means of self-expression. Laura is curious about how art plays a therapeutic role in healing humans, creating connections, and strengthening communities.

All collage materials and supplies included. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
