Please join me in exploring this wonderful Beethoven Sonata. Beethoven was one of the world's most famous composers, and especially important for piano. This is an earlier opus sonata, with four movements. I hope you enjoy it! I am a classical pianist with Doctorate degree. My vision is to spread joy and enjoyment of music through online performances, and in person performances! You can find my bio here:
Jelena Cingara is an active performer and artist in US, Canada, and European countries such as Italy, France, and Czhech Republic. She has performed in concert venues such as: Libby Gardner, Dumke, Abravanel hall, and Kenley amphitheatre in Utah, as well as Arts and Letters Club, Walter Hall, and Ettore Mazzoleni Halls in Toronto. She has played in masterclasses for Nicholas Angelich (Virginia Classics), Rebecca Penneys (Eastman School of Music), Dr. Joel Hastings (Florida State University), and Steven Doane (Eastman School of Music) just to name a few. As a solo and collaborative and chamber musician she has played recitals in Italy, France, Serbia, US and Canada, and for masterclasses for famous quartets such as: The Bennewitz, Faure, Doric as well as Philip Seltzer from the Emerson Quartet.
Jelena is a prize winner in festivals such as Kiwanis, Peel, and Davenport in Toronto, as well as third prize winner in small ensemble/piano concerto competition at The University of Toledo. Jelena is a winner of American Protege Competition (2nd prize) in chamber music, and made her debut in Carnegie Hall on May 26 at 7:30 pm. She is a recipient of numerous scholarships/assistanships, various times Dean's travel grants. Toronto events included performances in Gallery 345, and La Balie, France. This seasons’s performances include Heliconian Hall, as well as Dunbarton-Fairport United Church in Pickering. This concert will be televised by Serbian TV (OMNI) in Toronto.
Jelena has just recently received a travel grant from Canada Council of the Arts for La Balie, France for the Summer of 2019. Jelena’s CD’s are kept in the CBC music library, and can be heard on Iheart radio.
Jelena Cingara's CD Marko Tajcevic Seven Balkan Dances/Josip Slavenski Piano Sonata Op.4 is now available on CDBaby, amazon.com, iTunes, Waterloo Records, Spotify, Geezer, and other places! Jelena has just recently received a travel grant from Canada Council of the Arts for La Balie, France for the Summer of 2019. Jelena’s CD’s are kept in the CBC music library, and can be heard on Iheart radio.
Jelena has also taught PIANO MINORS at a University level in USA, and one of her piano students was consistently the one with the highest grade on his piano exams. She is currently a piano instructor at York University in North York, Ontario.
