About
The Thunder Bay Art Gallery is excited to offer a unique, free self-guided interactive station designed to heighten your senses and deepen your understanding of art.
At galleries you are often told “DO NOT TOUCH.” That is because we have an important role in
preserving and protecting artworks. But what if you could touch? Why stop at touch? What
if you could smell and listen to art too?
At our Gallery for the Senses station, you are invited to explore a selection of touchable materials used in the creation of artworks currently on display. This hands-on experience offers a fresh perspective on the sensory qualities of different materials and artistic processes, encouraging a deeper, more immersive connection with art.
