About
Join us at the Cowichan Bay Maritime Center for this special art installation 'Rising Tides; A celebration of Young Indigenous Artists'. This show will shine the spotlight on the next generation of artists, showcasing a wide array of mediums, backgrounds and styles.
This mixed medium show will run from September 19th – October 12th 2025, Wednesdays thru Sundays 10 am to 4 pm. The Gala Opening reception will be Friday, September 19th.
We want to celebrate young artists (age 30 and under) in our community and provide a space for them to show their works, grow as an artist and connect with the community.

Cowichan Wooden Boat Society
The Cowichan Maritime Centre is an active community-based maritime museum and the home of the Cowichan Wooden Boat Society which preserves, exhibits and demonstrates the Maritime heritage and culture of wooden boats, especially as experienced on Canada’s West Coast. The Society was originally conceived in the 1970s as a wooden boat-building centre but has expanded its role to become a maritime centre, a museum and a wooden boat workshop.
