About

Are you curious about the Nigerians you see around in you? What is all the hype about their traditional party Glam and Swag? How do they even make that head tie?

At this interactive event, you will go away knowing one thing for sure, how to make some traditional pieces for a Yoruba party for yourself!

Using traditional Yoruba fabrics, aso-oke or Sego, you get to make your own "Auto-gele" head-tie, a party fan and glam jewelry pieces.

As the day progresses with laughter and entertaining cultural stories, you will also learn some cliche words and phrases (e.g. "O wan Be", "Aso-Ebi", "A Nko", "Parapo", "Tiwan Tiwa", "A a Re Ni Se Ti A" etc). We get to interact around the concept of "Mo Gbo Mo Ya" and how it relates to belonging in a community!

It is anticipated that by the end of the day, you'll be ready to show up for a future invitation to a traditional Yoruba Party with “Steeze" (Stylish and easy), “in the “swag” you made from the day’s craft!

Light Refreshments will be provided and you get to take a keepsake picture of your experience from the day.
