About
Watch as Chantelle Trainor-Matties works on a painting and discusses her process of creating the work. She will also go into detail about techniques that can help you with your acrylic paintings such as how to keep your acrylics from drying, layering paint, and blending.
This 1.5 hour demonstration is an opportunity to learn more about Chantelle's work as well as learning the best ways to blend paint for your own takeaway wooden feather!
Chantelle Trainor-Matties is an artist from British Columbia, Canada with Nisga’a and Métis heritage who specializes in illustration, graphic design, and painting. She works for herself and does freelance and contract work for private and commercial clientele through her small business Frettchan Studios. Her work ranges from bold formline to charming cartoons to painterly realism. She participates in a variety of events such showcases, markets, trade shows, exhibits her work in galleries and has recently begun to paint murals. Her late ferrets are her main inspiration; other favorite subjects are flora and fauna, pop culture, the macabre and Northwest Coast art.
