About
I’m inspired by the way light, colour, and movement shape how we see the world. Painting lets me capture those shifting moments and explore them in new, expressive ways.
After studying at the University of Guelph and Sheridan College, I spent 25 years as a graphic designer focused on visual storytelling. Now based in Elora, Ontario, I’ve returned to painting with a fresh perspective, more curious, less focused on perfection.
I paint primarily in oil on wood panel, drawn to its texture and depth. My work balances bold colour, spontaneity, and structure, an ongoing, joyful exploration.

The Elora Fergus Studio Tour has been operating for 38 years as a free, annual event to celebrate the abundance of exceptional artists living and working in Centre Wellington. Each artist is juried in by an esteemed panel of experienced artists, and we allow a maximum of 40 participants. We advertise our tour in major cities within a 2 hour radius of Centre Wellington.
