About
Celebrate arts and heritage with a self-guided art tour! Muskoka Chautauqua invites you to participate in the Township's View the Lakes Chair Tour. Find one or more of the ten chairs placed at scenic locations around Muskoka and create a watercolour painting of the stunning view.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with the natural beauty of the region and explore your creativity. Your participation helps celebrate the vibrant arts community in Muskoka.
How to Participate:
1. Find a Chair: use the View the Lakes Chair Tour map at https://www.muskokalakes.ca/recreation-leisure/visiting-muskoka-lakes/view-the-lakes-chair-tour/ to find one or more of the ten chairs with a beautiful view.
2. Get Your Supplies: use your own supplies or visit our partner, Artisan Trading Post, at 156 Medora St #2, Port Carling, ON P0B 1J0. You may take advantage of the special Muskoka Culture Day Package or other beam paint supplies. To purchase the discounted bundle online, use the following link:

3. Create your art: settle into one of the chairs and paint the view.
4. Enter the contest: share a photo of your finished watercolour painting on social media, tagging @artisantradingpost on Instagram, or by emailing it to [email protected] for a chance to win a $50 gift card to Artisan Trading Post.
