BACKSTAGE, a new interview and music series with Sultans of String and exciting special guests each Friday at noon EST from Sanctuary (the Refuge Project). This fourth instalment October 1 features exceptional artist Saskia Tomkins, where we will launch the song and video we recorded together for our upcoming Sanctuary album, talk about the Swedish Nyckelharpa, and her journey to Canada.

Nyckelharpa is an instrument she used while touring with Loreena McKennett. It is 16 string keyed fiddle that uses sympathetic strings that resonate when the 4 main strings are played. These instruments have a wow factor and are used a lot in film scores
