About
Quesnel Tillicum Society Annual Memorial Pow Wow is a yearly gathering where Indigenous People share their art, culture and heritage with the general public. A Pow Wow is a sacred social gathering held by many Indigenous communities in Canada. The people will sing, dance and pray for two days. This is an alcohol and drug free event. This inclusive family event is an opportunity to practice Truth and Reconciliation, for the general community to learn about their Indigenous neighbours and share in food and cultural practices.
In the Spirit of Truth and Reconciliation the Quesnel and District Community Arts Council (QDCAC) provides the funds, supplies and a volunteer for the Arts & Crafts that are available throughout the two day Pow Wow.
