2:30 – Boro: The Art of Japanese Mending. Torn, ripped, hole-y denim! What’s next in fashion? Mending, of course! Learn about the ancient art of Japanese mending in this talk and demonstration of the newest art form for denims.
3:45 – From Rocks to Wheels: Spinning is one of humankind’s oldest and most useful technologies. Come join us to learn about the art and history of spinning a yarn. See and learn about ancient yet modern tools for making yarn: spindles and wheels. Watch yarn being made; maybe even try spinning on a spindle.
