About

Our family of Vikings will be setting up a small Living History camp, to recreate what life was like in the Viking/Saxon/Norman/Celtic cultures, around the year 1000. We will have many traditional crafts on display. Hand spinning, sewing, naalbinding, fletching, jewelry, armoring, woodworking, ect. If you ask, we will be happy to teach you how. And, to entertain everyone, our warriors will have a combat exhibition, to showcase their fighting skills and demonstrate the types of weapons used at the time. Cheer for your favorite Viking warrior! Come learn a new skill! This is a family event for all ages.

Organizer

Loki's Brood Vikings

Loki's Brood is the Saskatchewan chapter of the Markland Vikings Felag. Created in 2019 as an official North American Felag of the Vikings - UK, the largest Viking, Saxon, Norman, and Celtic reenactment organization with over 1500 members worldwide.

Our events are renown for the high standard of presentation, historical accuracy and attention to detail, the scale and impact of our combat displays, as well as our extensive static displays which present a cross-section of life in the tenth and eleventh centuries.

Our aim is to provide an accurate and educational portrayal of the Viking period, 790AD to 1066AD, with equal emphasis on daily life and the more warlike aspects of this time period of European history.
