About

Come visit with community and guest artists and help us see what it's possible to create in four and a half hours if we all work together!

Guest and community artists will be on hand in the interactive zone to show you what they do, and to get you started on your own creative adventure. We also need help with a couple of really big art projects that we want to finish by the time it gets dark!

Got a project you'd like to try? Drop by the library and sign up before September 14th - we'll reserve you some space, and find you whatever help you need!

Artists and projects include:

Tristan Johnston: The really big "wall"

Laureen Stefanic: Sticks and Stones/Art in the Park

Pam/Tianna: HP Rocks!

Darnelle Hill: Hornepayne Community Art Wall

Debbie Smith -The Three Bears Day Care: Nature Art

and more TBA!

All of Hornepayne’s Culture Days events are workshops are free to participate.

The Hornepayne Community Art Project will be collecting donations through our pay-what-you-can collection boxes around the hub, or at the library. This is to help cover the cost of train tickets for visiting artists, supplies and materials for community projects and to help fund a new initiative for Hornepayne’s young artists, to be announced at our Music Monday celebration in May, 2020.

Thank you for your support!

Hornepayne Public Library

Presented By: Hornepayne Public Library, Hornepayne EarlyON Child and Family Centre, 3 Bears Daycare, Art in the Park, in collaboration with the Hornepayne Community Arts Project.

The artists and community partners gratefully acknowledge the support of the Ontario Arts Council's Community and Artist Collaboration program. By supporting reasonable fees for working artists, they have enabled us to continue exploring the relationship between touring and transient artists and those living resilient, resourceful and creative lives in the places between the "major" destinations.

We also gratefully acknowledge the generous support of the Township of Hornepayne, and D&J Apartments and the residents of Hornepayne, Ontario, for making sure that our visiting artists have a home, 1000 km from home
