About

This workshop seeks to provide a creative outlet for each participant to express their own experience of this unprecedented 2020 year, through the creation of a Chinese Sky Lantern in the shape of an icosahedron.

An icosahedron is a three dimensional geometric shape with 20 identical sides. Its name comes from the Greek word for twenty. Greek philosopher Plato theorized that water was make of icosahedron particles.

Participants are invited to paint small words or images on 20 translucent panels, representing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences in 2020.

Panels will be glued together to form an icosahedron and LED lights inserted into the hollow structure.

Covid-19 protocols for all our events include:

hand sanitizer available at gate, doorway, and several key locations

masks available for purchase

registration & limit seating available to maintain social distancing protocols
