About

Art Gallery of Algoma asked local artists to create and submit artwork that gives them joy during the pandemic. The exhibition was called "Finding Joy". It included over sixty local artists who created artwork in various mediums. Artist were from all age groups - from children to established artists. During the long pandemic it was important for us to stay connected through art and continue to create and find ways to remain optimistic.

Art Gallery of Algoma

Art Gallery of Algoma (AGA) is the only public art gallery between Sudbury and Thunder Bay. It was incorporated in 1975; it is located on the banks of Saint Mary's river in Sault Ste. Marie. The mandate of the AGA is to collect, preserve and display art as well as to provide art based educational activities. The AGA has a significant permanent collection of over 5,000 artworks. It presents exhibitions and programming in person and digitally all-year round.
