Surrounded by Water. That's the definition of an island and hence, the title of the art show celebrating 21 artists from Sooke to Cumberland. On until Oct. 28 at the Cowichan Community Centre.

CVAC operates two community art galleries and a workshop space for youth and adults featuring about 30 exhibits annually at the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan. CVAC hosts the largest non-juried art show (held in May) on Vancouver Island. The non-profit group was founded in 1971.
