About

How do we use mood boards to create theatrical productions? Learn the techniques of artistic research, and about the story of Swan Lake as we showcase our artistic process while building yours!

What to expect:

An introduction to Mood Boards and their purpose in show development (participants will make their own too!)

An overview of the Swan Lake story and it's main themes.

DANCE + heart will share the research and development of our upcoming November production (Nov 25-28 at the Fergus Grand Theatre), with a presentation of on artist research, costumes, creative choices, and our photo series "Infinite Swans", which represents 60 women in our community as the "swans" that show the magnitude of Rothbart's curse.

Following, there is an opportunity to take part in a meditation and movement class to Tchaikovsky's classical soundtrack.
