About

Celebrate Culture Days and the 100th anniversary of Korean Film with four popular recently released Korean films. Presented by the Korean Cultural Centre of Canada, the Library will screen the following films: Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds (Friday), Little Forest (Saturday), The Spy Gone North (Saturday) and Assassination (Sunday)

Join us beginning Friday evening, September 27 to Sunday, September 29 at the City Centre Branch.

English subtitles are available for all the films.

Friday, September 27

Rooms 136 and 137

- Opening ceremony 6:00 – 6:30 pm

- Screening: Along with the Gods, The Two Worlds 6:30 – 8:45 pm

Saturday, September 28

Rooms 136 and 137

- First Screening: Little Forest 12:00 – 1:45 pm

- Second Screening: The Spy Gone North 2:00 – 4:30 pm

Sun, September 29

Rooms 136 and 137

- Screening: Assassination 1:30 – 4:00 pm

Speaker Michelle Kim will introduce the films at the Opening ceremony on Friday.

Michelle Kim is a film actor, producer, writer and director. Her film, The Tree Inside won the people’s choice award at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and at the Northwest Filmmakers’ Film Festival in Portland, among other awards and is currently working on her next feature film, a Korean-language film, set in Seoul during the 90s. She also writes novels. Her first, Running Through Sprinklers, is published by Simon & Schuster/Atheneum.
