Directions: Head east on 72 Ave towards King George. The cultural centre is on the right just past the railway tracks, across the street from MacDonalds, and before you get to the Esso station. From King George Blvd, turn on Hall Rd, heading NW, and turn right on 72 Ave. The centre, which is a renovated fire hall, is on your right after the railway tracks.

Come and learn folk dances to ethnic music from around the world, with the Surrey International Folk Dancing Society. Beginners welcome.

Folk dancing is a good activity for anyone interested in ethnic music and dances, or anyone who wants a fun and interesting way to get exercise. Recreational folk dancing introduces people of all ages to music and dances from all over the world.

Suitable for all ages and abilities. No partner or costume required.

Surrey International Folk Dancing Society

We meet weekly September to June for international folk dancing, and also meet several times a year for parties and other special events.

Mission Statement:

-To promote the awareness and enjoyment of traditional dances from cultures around the world

-To promote healthy living through exercise via the medium of dance

-To promote the social interaction amongst people of different ethnic backgrounds

-To foster community spirit through involvement in multi-cultural events

-To provide community service and education through dance demonstrations

-To provide similar and related services as determined by the membership
