About
Join Inspired Word Cafe as they kickoff their 10th season with a fun, all ages poetry slam! A poetry slam is a competitive poetry event where 5 audience members are randomly selected to be judges, scoring the competing poets in a two-round contest for cash prizes and to be crowned poet of the night. Poets present funny, inspiring, and eye-opening original poems over two-rounds. Highly interactive event and tons of fun!
This event is entirely outside, so bring warm clothes, a low-backed chair, and a blanket to cuddle up under the stars!
Inspired Word Cafe presents high calibre performance poetry events across the Okanagan Valley. Our Kickoff Classic opens our regular programming from September-April each year.
