About

Hi everyone!!

15 talented children would be reciting rhymes on flowers from my book Nursery Rhymes. This will not only help bringing our tiny tots back to nature but will also boost their confidence and hone their creative skills. They will also be gifted a flower and a pouch of seeds of the same by the author. Post session they will discuss how they will take care of the plants and encourage others to do the same.

The discussion forum is also joined by Ms. Kaur (an Early Childhood Teacher with an experience of 18 years, at present with Greater Bergen Community Action Program/Head Start, New Jersey, USA) who will furnish some important and insightful information on creating a strong foundation for making children more responsible and committed towards their society and environment.

Organizer

LIZA NANDA

My name is Liza Nanda. I am PhD in English Language and Literature from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India. I am author of 3 books, and I have translated one. I am also a multilingual, an avid reader, a theatre artist, a painter and play 'algoza' (folk instrument from Punjab, India). At present, I am working as a Professor at Canadore College (Brampton and Mississauga campus).

My main motive on writing 'Nursery Rhymes' was to introduce children to the beautiful world of flowers and inculcate in them a responsibility towards nature. I have also organized 'Tree Plantation Day' with my students back in India.

The event will have 15 children reciting a rhyme each on their choice of flower and will promise to take care of it and its species.

See you at the event!
