About
The cosmos is coming to Old Market Square… Come dance in the Spectra of the moonGARDEN!
Step into the enchanting world of moonGARDEN at Old Market Square and experience "Spectra", an illuminating artwork that brings the cosmos to life! This mesmerizing piece weaves together silhouettes of humans, animals, celestial bodies, and natural elements through a dazzling kaleidoscope of light and colour. Inspired by myths and folk tales, "Spectra" celebrates themes of unity and transformation with a magical dance of light and shadow.
Artist Anna Binta Diallo invites you to discover the stories that have shaped our connection to the universe, reflecting on how different cultures interpret cosmic events like eclipses and moon phases.
Wander through moonGARDEN's giant spheres, where the evocative shadow projections and poetic soundscape of "Spectra" create a unique and immersive experience. Bring your friends and family for a night of wonder and exploration, and rediscover your place in the vast, beautiful universe.
The Winnipeg Arts Council is thrilled to return to Old Market Square this fall with another marquee artwork for Nuit Blanche. Don't miss out on this cosmic adventure!
