About
On September 28th, the Shire of Lost Cove will be hosting our twice-annual coronation event. Lost Cove is a medieval-fantasy themed group of combat LARPers (Live action Roleplay), and a part of Amtgard International.
During this event, we will be hosting a court ceremony, to celebrate the election of our next team of officers who will take over the running of our group. We will also be holding an award ceremony to recognize the achievements and skill growth of our members. There is an optional potluck, where some of our members will be pitching in snacks to keep us fueled for a big day.
After the ceremony, we will be running various battle-games for the rest of the day.
Anyone is welcome to come spectate, or if you would like to participate, I would strongly encourage taking a look at the rulebook we have linked to our LinkTree, and we will get you to sign a waiver. We also have a very active discord, shared with other Amtgard groups in Vancouver and Victoria, if you would like to chat about the event before attending. Feel free to dress up! We embrace the fantasy aspect of LARPing, and do not expect anyone's garb to be historically accurate.
In order to participate in combat, you must be 14+, and you must have a guardian present if under 19 years old. Children are welcome to spectate, a long as they are not in the battlefield.
If you can't make it this week, don't worry! We meet up every single week, all year long.

Lost Cove, part of Amtgard International
Do you like Dungeons & Dragons? Paintball? Maybe both? Then you might love Amtgard!
We are a chapter of the international Live Action Roleplay (LARP) game, Amtgard. Our local chapter is named Lost Cove. Amtgard is what is known as a "boffer LARP," which is more focused on the combat sport aspect of LARPing. We use safely padded foam weapons and arrows, and have a system for casting magic.
We meet up every week at the Parksville Community Park to play various battlegames and spend time with new friends! Every Saturday at 11:00am, typically near the pickleball courts, unless there is a special occasion.
