While the Arts Centre is wheelchair accessible, outdoor painting sites may not be as easily accessible. All works will come indoors at 12:00pm to see.
About
Join members of Victoria's Al Frescoes artists group as they paint "en plein air" (outdoors) at Cedar Hill Park! Watch them in action and learn more about the fascinating art of plein air painting from a group of artists that share a passion for painting outdoors. You can even try your hand at plein air painting! At noon, the artists' freshly painted works will come indoors to the Arts Centre for display and discussion.

The Al Frescoes are individual artists who share the companionship of painting outside, coming together to paint on Fridays in different locations across Greater Victoria. The Saanich Culture Days hub is organized by Saanich Parks and Recreation and The Island Illustrators Society. Island Illustrators fosters interest in the art of illustration. For Culture Days, Island Illustrators use their gifts to illustrate the wonder and value of all arts forms for creator and recipient. Working in partnership with the community, Saanich Parks and Recreation creates opportunities for enrichment that support health and well-being through arts and culture and other activities. In Saanich, Community Services and The Arts Centre at Cedar Hill have teamed up to help support Culture Days.
