About
Colorful Chinese folk dances interspersed with live instrumental music and an opportunity to interact with the audience
The Lei Hua Chinese Folk Music and Dance Troupe (雷華民樂舞蹈團) was established to promote the health, wellbeing, and friendship within the members of the Chinese community in Thunder Bay. It also aims to promote and preserve the Chinese culture and heritage in the context of the Canadian society. Keenly aware of our contribution to the Canadian mosaic of multi-culturalism and diversity, we participate in many cultural events and celebrations with other groups, such as Folklore Festivals, Chinese New Year's celebrations, and Canada Day's celebrations. In addition, we bring cultural entertainments and experiences to many schools, retirement homes, and seniors' facilities throughout the year. We are part of the Thunder Bay Chinese Canadian Association (TBCCA), a not-for-profit organization celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2020.
