About

Olivia Hashem is, by her own account, really swag. She loves to write, or, more often, go on long, unnecessary rants about why she adores the characters that populate her giant home library.

Here, grade 8 student Olivia reads an except from her winning story from Ripple Foundation's Kids Write 4 Kids Contest, entitled 'Learning to Fly'.

She is currently immersed in writing her second novel. Olivia lives in Ontario with her family and is often caught romping around the city with her friends or adopting squirrels with her dog.
