About
7 Community Partners are working together to host a Culture Day Extravaganza. This event is in partnership with the Swift Current Agriculture and Exhibition Association's Fall Fair which celebrates the western way of life. The goal of this event is to gather the community in one location to celebrate and promote the variety of cultural opportunities within our city without physically having to go to a variety of locations. This event will be held in the Swift Current Stockade and feature a cultural stage with entertainment including Aboriginal story telling, cowboy poetry, cultural dancing and performances. In addition, there are going to be Cultural Make It and Take It stations hosted by each of the following partners.

Newcomer Welcome Centre - Art Retreat with cultural art project
Swift Current Branch Library - Aboriginal Beading
Cultural Festivals - Kite Building workshop
Swift Current Museum - Making Butter
Swift Current Ag & Ex - Blacksmithing
